What happened during the pre-production phase?

.Whose idea was the film?Did the idea start with the writers, or were writers brought in to develop a preconceived idea?
Answer: Rebecca O'Brain is the producer of the film and she owns Sixteen Films with the script writer Paul Laverty. He was bought into writing the script for I Daniel Blake.This movie is not preconceived as it is original idea.

Answer: This movie was an original script it was not TV series or comic strip, it was made originally by the productions companies.

Answer: The film was an original script and was not developed over time, no other company had the idea of their script therefore, there idea was original and was written originally.

 Casting-who were cast in the role and why? How important were starts? How did the filmmakers think the chosen stars will appeal to audiences?
Answers: Dave Johns (Daniel Blake) they though he will appeal to the audiences as he is a middle aged man that looks he is about to go on retirment  and they wanted to use him as he suits the role perfectly.
Answer: Hayley Squires (Katie) they though she will appeal to the audiences as she looks like she is in her 20+ and she suits the role perfectly.

Answer: Ken Loach, he took on the movie as he though the movie would make a great story of how people can be treated by the government. He was aiming the film at people who have open mind

Answer: George Fenton produced the music for the movie.

What happen during the production phase?

.Was it an easy 'shoot'? if there were difficulties what were they? Were there tension between any of the creative personnel, often known as 'the talent'
Answer:There was tension between the actor of Daniel Blake as were they shot the movie, thats were the character was born, the area is working class environment. There was tension as the system was trying make people fight against each other. However, Dave Johns suggested that people were starting to come together and reliase they are all odinery people.

.Was any part of the film shot on location? If so where?Why were some locations chosen over others?Were costs a factor?
Answer: Daniel Blake was shot on location, which was in NewCastle in the North East, it was mainly shot near the areas where Dave grew up. They chose that area as that area was work environment.

.Where there any difficulties casting or with acquiring the stars/actors the producers wanted?
Answer: No there was not any difficulties at acquiring the stars as all they had to do is audition for the role. Therefore, it was not difficult acquiring them.

What did the film cost to make? How much did the stars get? Where did the budget go? Was the film shot within budget? Was it ever in any danger of going over budget?
Answer:?

Answer: No the script was not changed they used the one they originally made.

A relationship between the lyrics and the visuals. In this part of the music video we can see a long shot of an elderly woman seating on the piano. Furthermore, we can see a small box on top of the piano. In this magazine Ferguson's theory is applied as it suggests that woman in the magazine are meant to be portrayed as beautiful. The magazine portrayed woman being aspirational as they give the tools, in this case, is the bottled beauty, this tool is given to the woman in the magazine to make them look beautiful, and the woman reading this will construct an image of how they should be looking. Furthermore, the article features a woman who is using the product, she looks beautiful and is showing another woman reader how they should be looking. Moreover, Ferguson's theory is applied to that in many different ways, such as in the image we can see the woman touching her face, this can symbolise that the woman on the cover is suggesting that woman are meant to be more beautiful. As she touches her face with makeup she is suggesting that point. Monthly magazines are seen as more aspirational as their content and images are more aspiring to people as they look up to that person. Furthermore, monthly magazines due to their budget they can afford better qualitty paper, they have more luxurious look and feel which can mean they can engage their audiences as their magazines include high fashion models and better quality quotes, which means the audiance will inspire to look up to them and be like that model.
