Mcdonalds Adverts Stefan

Advert 1 Estate advert
The advert starts with an establishing shot of the Estate which gets the viewer to establish where the locations/setting is the location portrays that the advert is for an urban audience. More specifically people who aren't rich, meaning that ordinary people should attend to McDonald's as well. Moreover, as soon as the establishing shot finishes a long shot appears portraying the youths and younger generation listening to music that is fast paste and more energetic. Additionally, a close-up shot of one of the faces of the youths is portrayed to show their facial expression which demonstrates Maslow love and belonging need, as they are all friends and having fun together by listening to music and having a laugh. Moreover, then it cuts to a medium shot, where we see an elderly man walking and staring at the youths. He might be thinking to himself what are those youths doing? Suddenly the music stops for a split second. As it cuts to the elderly man putting a record in, which can emphasise that the elderly man is more classy and peaceful, as it cuts to a long shot of the mans back as he is drinking coffee and looking out of the balcony emphasising he is happy and enjoys the fresh air and enjoying the nice peaceful, classy music. This advert shows a contrast to connote that no matter young or elderly you're still welcome into McDonald's. Furthermore, then it cuts to a bird's eye view of the group of boys this can emphasise that while you're young and more energetic you hang out with your friends more, where as while you are growing older you start to feel less energetic and become more independent and closed up in your own world. Additionally, the camera cuts to a close-up shot of one of the boy's wears showing he is sagging and dress informally, Whereas it then cutaways to the elderly man dressing showing his formal wear which shows a contrasts between the teenagers wears and the elderly man wear to show the age difference. Moreover, then it cuts to youths playing on the game console and a diegetic sound is presented of the game they are playing which is a football game. It also cutaways continuously to the youths faces to show that they are happy and love being together as they are friends, it then cuts to a long shot of the whole room of the youths seating next to each other which yet again adds that while you're young you hang out with your friends all the time. Furthermore, it then cuts to a close up of the man's face showing his facial expressions which is not too exciting for the viewers as they don't want to see him sad and unhappy. However, this can show a contrast again that when you're older you rather be more independent but also you need to be aware that if you don't have friends to hang out with it can change you to an unhappy person as you won't be having a laugh with anyone which this advert is trying to suggest. Moreover, it then cuts to the youths seating in McDonald's together and talking connoting they are still enjoying themselves, it then cuts to one of the youths pouring his chips which also show his coke and burger which can suggest that McDonald's is advertising their products. Lastly, it cuts to over the shoulder shot of the man pouring his chips and then noticing the youth is doing the same. As they both look at each other they smile which can emphasise that the elderly man is happy and enjoying that someone is like him that he is not alone, which connotes that we all have McDonald's in common. no matter who we are.

Advert 2 1967
This advert starts off with a bird's eye view, the shot is portraying the people in the car who are off to somewhere and then it cuts to a long shot of the kids back head suggesting that this advert is for a young audience. as these two shots are portrayed music is being played and this type of music is childish and fat paste which can also connote that this advert is for children.Furthermore, it then constantly cuts to the sign of McDonald's the suggestion that this advert is for McDonald's to get the viewers into it. Additionally, it cuts to one of the staff members showing his facial expressions, he is smiling which is portraying a family friendly image. Moreover, the music slows down and a dialogue is presented. The use of the dialogue makes the advert more attractive as its letting the viewers listen to their products, also the use of the dialogue uses good vocabulary for their products which eventually can make the audience mouth water for their food and make them go get some. Lastly, as the dialogue finishes the fast paste music continuous on and it ends with the McDonald's sign which is dragging the audiance to go there.
