Dare Devil Episode 1 Season 1
As the episode starts we straight away apply some enigmas into our mind, such as is the kid going to be alright? are the people on the street going to live? The use of this technique at the starts allow the viewers to get into the episode as they would like to find out what will happen. Furthermore,  we see another enigma being raised of what happens to the kids' father, by the look of his facial expression it can suggest that his father may be still alive as he is smiling.However, then suddenly his facial expression drops into sadness which can connote something has happened to his father. The use of close can also express the emotions the character is going through.

Moreover, then it suddenly cuts to shot of an evil guy laughing at some woman, which can emphasise that he might do something to them.Which can raise another enigma of what awaits that poor woman? However, then it cuts to a medium close-up of a guy wearing a black clothing/black mask which can raise more enigmas of who the man is? The use of black clothing can portray that the man can be someone evil as well. Furthermore, the shallow focus can connote that the man is someone important, of what we have seen so far he could be the protagonist and here to save the day. Additionally, we see the character starting to fight and winning the battle, however, we then get an extremely close-up shot of the antagonist pulling back the gun, which raises enigmas of is he going to fire the gun at the hero?

Moreover, as the episode goes on more enigmas are being raised such as who killed the man?- is it the woman? or is it someone else? then we get two shot of the two lawyers questioning the woman, which raises more enigmas of would she admit to who done it or would she stay quiet.

Lastly, at the end of the episode, we see the protagonist putting on his mask, which raises an enigma of what is he about to do. We clearly her digetic sounds which can suggest that he is about to jump off the roof and go do hero business.

    A clear understanding of the Hermeneutic code. But EBI - always PROOF READ - Aloud - to yourself to check for clarity.

    Also - always maintain a formal tone in your analysis.

A relationship between the lyrics and the visuals. In this part of the music video we can see a long shot of an elderly woman seating on the piano. Furthermore, we can see a small box on top of the piano. This links to Goodwin's theory as in the video we can hear the woman saying 'should we see what Dizzee Rascal is doing today boys and girls' and then straight afterwards she also says 'He is such a Racal' and then we see Dizzee Rascal come out the box. This is linked with Goodwin's theory as it shows us that the  lyrics and she is pronoucing are linked with the visuals we are seeing. In this magazine Ferguson's theory is applied as it suggests that woman in the magazine are meant to be portrayed as beautiful. The magazine portrayed woman being aspirational as they give the tools, in this case, is the bottled beauty, this tool is given to the woman in the magazine to make them look beautiful, and the woman reading this will construct an image of how they should be looking. Furthermore, the article features a woman who is using the product, she looks beautiful and is showing another woman reader how they should be looking. Moreover, Ferguson's theory is applied to that in many different ways, such as in the image we can see the woman touching her face, this can symbolise that the woman on the cover is suggesting that woman are meant to be more beautiful. As she touches her face with makeup she is suggesting that point. Woman's monthly magazines are more aspirational than weekly magazines? Monthly magazines are seen as more aspirational as their content and images are more aspiring to people as they look up to that person. Furthermore, monthly magazines due to their budget they can afford better qualitty paper, they have more luxurious look and feel which can mean they can engage their audiences as their magazines include high fashion models and better quality quotes, which means the audiance will inspire to look up to them and be like that model. Moreover, monthly magazines open a realm of possabilities for the audiance as they include better information and more description on different information, which allows posabilities for the audinace as they emerge themselves in knowledge of that 'glossies' magazine.
